Website Connectivity Issues


A. General Information


  1. All of our web sites are configured for the basic Browser security settings of Internet Explorer 5.5 and 7, Netscape Navigator 4.7 and 4.8.
    We do not run any additional software that would prevent you from connecting to the web sites.

    Any Public Domain PC will not encounter any difficulty.


    One single item that causes the majority of the connection problems has been the Browser Security settings.

    Following the instructions for your particular Browser, set all of the Security settings to the basic or default settings.

    If you have a separate Privacy tab, those settings should also be at the default settings and the Popup Stopper should be disabled while visiting our websites.

    We recommend that you use Internet Explorer version 5.5, SP2 and 7 or Netscape Navigator 4.7 and 4.8.

     There are some exceptions:


    • If you are using a MAC system, there may be certain parts of the web site that may not function properly with your system. The problem is not with the browser for the MAC, it is that the MAC OS does not have a Drag and Drop capability that some of our web pages utilize.

    • The browsers that are shipped out by AOL, CompuServe and AT&T are heavily customized version of Internet Explorer. This customization has been done to improve the performance when connected to these sites. However, our web pages were designed to work with the basic versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. It is highly recommended that you download the basic versions of Internet Explorer from the Microsoft Web site and use this when connecting to our web pages.


  2. Please notify your Right Management Consultant if you change your email address.


  3. Please add http://www.right-from-home.com, http://www.rightalumni.comhttp://right.careers.adicio.com (Job and Resume Bank) and http://rightexec.careers.adicio.com (Executive Networking Bank) as trusted sites.


If you run Spam eliminator software on your mailbox, Please add the right.com domain to your authorized senders. The Alumni Website Welcome message (Contains your Login info) sent at the completion of your Program is computer generated and will be blocked if right.com is not an authorized sender.

 

B. Login issues


  1. The Username is not case sensitive, the Password is case sensitive.


  2. The Username for Right-From-Home and RightAlumni web sites do not change.


  3. The Password for Right-From-Home will change on a monthly basis and can be obtained from your local Right Management service office.


  4. The Password for your RightAlumni account does not change unless you make the change and is unique for your account.


  5. You can have your Right Alumni username and password e-mailed to you if your email address is accurate in the Right Alumni database. Use the "Forgot your login?" link below the password box.


  6. The Username for your Resume Posting and Job Searching account is your email address. The Password is chosen by you.


  7. If you enter your Right Alumni username and password and are immediately wrapped back to the login screen, your Security Settings are stopping the Connection.


  8. If you receive a split screen after entering your Right-From-Home username and password. Please contact your Right Management Consultant for guidance.

C. Software and Configuration issues


  1. If you are using Firewall, Children's protection or Spam eliminator (Popup) software, disable the software.

    Many of the Tool Bars that are offered for free download such as Google and Yahoo also including a Popup stopper program with the tool bar. Follow the directions for your particular software as to how to temporarily disable the Popup stopper. Also, Microsoft IE 6.0, SP2 has added a Popup blocker on the Privacy tab.

    Because we use outside vendors for portions of our website, we must utilize secondary windows (Popup windows).

    If you are experiencing trouble with the assessment or eLearning sections, your Popup Blocker may prevent the secondary Window from opening.

    Please disable the Popup blocker, you will not get any Advertisements from us or the third party vendors we use, only legitimate content will be displayed.


  2. If you make a change to your resume or some other section of Right-From-Home but the change does not take effect. This primarily occurs with Internet Explorer. Your browser may be reading the web page from memory
    instead of the new page from the web site. To correct this problem, go to Tools, Internet Options, General Tab, Temporary Internet files section, Settings button. Make sure the "Check for newer versions of stored pages:" option is set for "Every visit to the page". This will insure that you are always seeing an updated version of a web page.


  3. If you are using Internet Explorer and having problems where one web page will overwrite another web page, please check your "Encoding" settings. This is located under the View menu, Encoding. There should be a check mark next to Auto-Select.

    If there is not a check mark, please click on the words Auto-Select to place a check mark.
